TS Inter is the Intermediate Public Examination conducted by the Telangana Board of Intermediate Education (TGBIE, earlier TSBIE) for first and second year students at junior colleges across Telangana. Mathematics is written as two papers each year, IA and IB in first year and IIA and IIB in second year, of 75 marks each, while Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology carry 60 marks per paper, with practicals in second year. The algebra side: functions, mathematical induction, matrices, vectors and trigonometry in IA, then complex numbers, quadratic expressions, theory of equations, permutations, binomial theorem and probability in IIA.
Maths IB and IIB
The geometry and calculus side: locus, straight lines, pair of lines, 3D coordinates, limits and differentiation in IB, then circles, parabola, ellipse, hyperbola, integration and differential equations in IIB.
Physics and Chemistry
Separate 60-mark papers each year, from motion in a plane, oscillations and thermodynamics to current electricity and semiconductors, alongside atomic structure, solutions, electrochemistry and organic chemistry.
Botany and Zoology
BiPC papers on plant diversity, plant physiology, animal diversity, human systems, genetics, evolution and ecology, each worth 60 marks.
CEC, HEC and languages
Commerce, economics, civics and history for non-science groups, plus English and a second language such as Telugu, Hindi, Sanskrit or Urdu.
