The Indian School Certificate (ISC) is the Class 12 examination of the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), New Delhi. Every candidate writes English, in two papers for language and literature, plus three or more electives across science, commerce and humanities. Science electives such as Physics, Chemistry and Biology split into a 70-mark theory paper and 30 marks of practical and project work, while Mathematics has a compulsory Section A with a choice of Section B or Section C. Paper 1 tests composition, directed writing, proposal writing and grammar; Paper 2 tests the prescribed drama, prose and poetry texts.

Mathematics

Section A (relations, matrices, calculus, probability) is compulsory; candidates then choose Section B (vectors, 3D geometry, application of integrals) or Section C (applications in commerce, regression and linear programming).

Physics, Chemistry and Biology
