The Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan (BSER, widely called RBSE), headquartered in Ajmer, conducts the Senior Secondary (class 12) examination. In subjects with practicals the theory paper carries 56 marks, with 14 sessional marks awarded by the school and 30 for practicals; in subjects without practicals the theory paper is 80 marks plus 20 sessional. Theory papers are divided into sections that open with objective items such as MCQs, fill in the blanks and very short answers. Mathematics
Relations and functions, matrices, continuity, integrals, differential equations, vectors, 3D geometry and probability.
Commerce and Arts
Accountancy, business studies, economics, history, political science and geography, each with 20 sessional marks alongside the 80-mark theory paper.
Hindi Anivarya and English Compulsory
The two compulsory language papers, plus optional literature papers such as Hindi Sahitya, English Literature, Sanskrit or Urdu.
