CBSE Class 12 Physics (subject code 042) is a 3-hour, 70-mark board theory paper with 30 marks of practicals. Recent sample papers use 33 questions across Sections A to E, from 16 one-mark MCQs and assertion-reason items to 5-mark long answers with derivations and numericals, and the syllabus groups nine units into five weighted blocks.
