The Maharashtra HSC (Higher Secondary Certificate) is the class 12 examination of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE), based in Pune and run through nine divisional boards. Physics, Chemistry and Biology are 70-mark theory papers with 30 marks for practicals, Mathematics and Statistics is an 80-mark paper with 20 practical marks, and students must score 35% in a subject to pass.
